They're going to tear my work apart if I go there, but I see a better chance of improving if I do. I get that in dA more people are likely to view your work and it's very easy to get popular here. Sort of. But although I LIKE the idea of people LIKING my work, it's just not going to help me grow as an artist! What if people are just about pretending to like my work, or just giving me asspats because they're too lazy to say anything else? (I'm not saying that seriously suspect anyone who watches me for doing this, but still.)
I think it's going to be difficult. I more or less grew up in dA, and getting critique on my work is really not something I'm used to. But I really want that now. I want to become better, and the only way I'm really going to get there is if I leave this place for THAT.
One more thing, though; on ConceptArt, isn't one supposed to give other people critique as well? What if I don't deserve to critique other people because my own work is worse than theirs?
